MY FINAL PROPOSAL FOR DESIGN RESEARCH 1

1.      Title
Yamato Hotel 
2.      Abstract
      Yamato is a historic luxury hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia. Located at Tunjungan street No. 65, the hotel was founded in 1910 as Hotel Oranje by Lucas Martin Sarkies. It was named after the historic kingdom of Majapahit. It was formerly operated by the Mandarin Orient group.
      During The Japanese occupation of Indonesia the hotel name was changed to Yamato Hotel. The hotel was the site of the famous "Hotel Yamato Incident" in which young Indonesia revolutionaries tore the blue part of the Dutch flag flown in the hotel to change it to the Indonesian flag in the lead up to the Battle of Surabaya.
      To make the application more interesting, instead just the construction of the building, a background story and task are added to convey the message.

3.   Target Audience
      The target audience of my game around 17 - 45 years old.

4.   Goal
      The goal of this game is to tell story of sacrifice Indonesia when they war against with colonialist in Surabaya and to experience the environment of Surabaya (Indonesia) during war world 1 (1945).
      The reason I pick this as my main idea is because this story is very famous in Indonesia, especially in Surabaya. The other reason, because Surabaya also became the town of patriot in Indonesia.
      Nowadays game are very famous among new generations. There are a lot of games out there. Each nation have their own media to tell their story. So I think this is the best way to tell our story to everyone how hard to fight with colonialist. 
      By making this legend into game, the user also can be more immerse with the environment and the story in game. This way can be interact with the game.

5.   Objectives
      To immerse the through realistic environment and audio visual effect.
      To tell the story of Surabaya (Indonesia) to the user.
      To make a user more exited because I have a different type of gun and interactive.
      To allow the user to experience the atmosphere in 1945 era.
      To encourage user to appreciate the cultural heritage.

7.   Project Description
·         Introduction
On 17 Augustus 1945, Indonesia was claimed our independence, However there are those who do not recognize the sovereignty of the government Republic Indonesia. When our country declared its independence, the Japanese soldiers still exist in Indonesia. Ally Japan to maintain a state commissioned and security in Indonesia as it was before the Japanese surrendered to the Allies. The task force when the Allies came to Indonesia. The people of Indonesia who want their rights restored, trying to take over power from the hands of Japan. That effort got a hurdle from the Japanese side, so in some places the army are battle between Japan and the people of Indonesia. The battles are causing casualties on both sides. When the people of Indonesia are facing Japan, the Netherlands (NICA) come ride the Allies. Dutch goal to re-colonize Indonesia. On 29 September 1945 the Allies and the NICA troops arrived in Indonesia and landed in the Port of Tanjung Priok. Allied soldiers who want to help NICA cancel Indonesia's independence. The people of Indonesia no longer wish to be colonized. Indonesian people rose up against the Allies and NICA. The people of Indonesia using Japanese weapons and weapons seized from the existing traditional.

·         Mission
"In this application the player become a soldier of Indonesia, and the player need to evict all the colonialism from Surabaya. Because In 17 Augustus 1945 Indonesia was claimed their independence, but instead of colonialism from Dutch and British come in to territory Indonesia (Surabaya).

·         Game Play
On the first starting of my game, there will be a brief introduction of the application and also a list on how the user navigate on game play:
·         1st level : On the first level, The character will be fight and fire off with Dutch soldiers in Yamato hotel. Because of the Dutch soldiers  flying their flag in Yamato Hotel. And the mission on this level is to bring down their flag and change to Indonesian flag. (19 September 1945)

·         2nd level : The character will fire off with the colonialist in "Jembatan Merah" because there is the a building named "Internatio" and there also the headquarters of Dutch soldier. In this level I will be telling the story when the people of Indonesia evict Dutch soldiers from there but Dutch soldier don't want to go out from Surabaya. (30 September 1945)

·         3rd level : In this level I also want to telling the story when the colonialist retaliated Indonesia because of incident "Jembatan Merah". And the location of this story I will be created in harbor "Tanjung Perak". (10 November 1945)
8. Interaction Description
General :  
·         This application uses a 1st person camera view
·         The user is represented by a soldier character to explore around the virtual environment and   shoot in the game play.
·    In this application are many of proximity to play the other interaction like a sound, door movement, and other interaction.
·         On the game play the user will be has 2 different weapon class.
·         The player can drive a boat or other vehicle to drive on the other check point.
